Libby Griffin - Founder of Boss Makeovers

Educator, Writer, Artist & Presenter

A natural teacher, at age eight Libby created her own school The Club, where she designed tailored fun and educational lessons and activities for her neighbourhood friends, successfully teaching one of her students to read and write english before she was of primary school age.

Since then, over the years Libby has collected a number of qualifications in beauty, teaching and coaching. Trained at the Academy of Makeup in Sydney, Libby became a qualified professional freelance Makeup Artist in 2011 and has many years working within every corner of the beauty industry, including retail, editorial photoshoots, weddings and fashion events.

After discovering alarming industry secrets and confronting realities of common cosmetic practices involving dangerous ingredients, labelling loopholes, animal testing and environment impacts, she became determined to create a fun and effective way to share her knowledge and empower others to be kind, informed and responsible in the marketplace.

After working with hundreds of everyday women from all walks of life she noticed common mental, emotional and behavioural patterns that set off alarm bells and tugged on her heart strings. Determined to provide more than just a temporary surface value beauty makeover, she conducted independent research into all things beauty. Inspired by Naomi Wolf's 'The Beauty Myth' and her own life experiences, she created a range of services that would revolutionise the way we see female beauty and assist women to make lasting positive changes for themselves, their families and the planet.

By 2018, Libby launched the Beauty Boss Makeover Series: a unique, comprehensive and provocative short course designed to inform, inspire, and empower women to uncover forgotten truths, step into their beauty and unleash their potential.

A personal message from Libby...

I will be honest: I am not the greatest makeup artist, nor am I the most knowledgable expert on organic beauty products. I am not the best party host, group leader or public speaker, and on many days, do not consider myself an example of an empowered women.

I am, however, dedicated to the truth.

To the millions of helpless animals sitting in their lonely miserable cages waiting to be used in cruel and unnecessary lab experiments. To the millions of women battling cancer because of the thousands of toxins they unknowingly let into their homes, bathrooms and bodies. And to mother earth's disappearing forests and polluted rivers and oceans.

And to you; one of the millions of women who can no longer see her own beauty. Who avoids the mirror and exhausts much of her time, money and energy in a never-ending attempt to feel good enough.

I may not be the most inspiring writer or speaker, but I am a natural teacher. I love taking people on journeys of thought that will open their minds and hearts to new perspectives and ideas. I love inspiring others to discover themselves like never before so they can reconnect with their truth and personal power, and use it to create the life they deserve.

I do this because I know what it's like to never feel good enough. I know what it's like to feel completely alone and worthless. To walk down the street and see other women as just competition. I know what it's like to vomit up my food every day because I’m scared of cellulite. I know what it's like to cover my face with makeup everyday because I’m scared people will see what I really look like. I know what it's like to get ripped off by false advertising and misinformed sales consultants because I’m insecure & uninformed. I know what it's like to be stuck doing the same boring thing in the mirror every day for years on end because I’m too scared to try new things. I know what it's like to fall apart to pieces until there is nothing left but the ugly, yet ironically beautiful truth. I know what it's like to search for happiness outside of myself until I'm so lost in the darkness that I finally found what I'd been looking for my entire life, in myself. I know what it's like to start from scratch and rebuild myself stronger than ever, against the odds. And I know what it's like to dig and dig for truth until what I find is so remarkable that I feel I have no choice but to share it with as many people as possible.

Knowledge is power. And it's time we all search for truth and use it to reclaim the long lost wisdom within us. It is time women unite in supportive sisterhoods and use their energy consciously, creatively and constructively, for the betterment of all on planet earth.

My makeovers are completely unique. They are the result of countless hours, months and years of blood, sweat, love and tears. They came from over a decade of persistent self discovery, healing and independent research that led me to the discovery of my gifts and opened my heart enough to allow myself to dream up the grandest dream I could imagine, and believe in it 100%.

And so it is with deep heartfelt enthusiasm and unchartered satisfaction, that I can now share my baby with you: Boss Makeovers. May it bring more love, truth, beauty, freedom, pleasure, joy and fulfilment into your life... because you are so worth it.

Yours Truly & With Love, Libby x
